Food of the week - Greek Yogurt
I don't know why I was so turned off by Greek yogurt. I had always heard good things, but I was addicted to my tried-and-true Dannon Light 'n Fit yogurt. I figured, Why mess with a good thing? But then again, change could be good. So in the midst of my new-food frenzy, I decided to give it a chance.
The first Greek yogurt I tried was Chobani Plain Greek Yogurt. It waskind of very bland, and it tasted more like sour cream than yogurt. Not what I was expecting! But then, someone (okay, it was my mother) suggested I add Splenda - and what do you know, but it worked! It was sweet, and it had a very different consistency than regular yogurt. But it kept me so full! I decided to try it again, but this time, a real flavor. I went with honey because I don't like surprise pieces of fruit in my yogurt. And honey surprised me! I didn't need to add anything to it because it was already sweet, and alongside an apple, it kept me full from breakfast until lunch. Two thumbs up for Greek yogurt!
